Selenite is considered the master cleanser crystal, and it's name comes from the Greek Goddess of the Moon, Selena, so it really loves a good light bath under the Full Moon.  They also work as a decorative plate for rings or other jewelry. 

Not recommended as a coaster - Selenite does not like to get wet!
